A Flag Man is required under the Occupational Health & Safety Act and prescribed under The Traffic Manual Book 7 to ensure the safety of vehicles and pedestrians in temporary work zones on or adjacent to public roadways.
The Traffic Controller must meet the criteria of a competent person as defined under the Occupational Health & Safety Act and receive Traffic Control and Signaling training. All Supreme Traffic Control Inc.’s Traffic Signalers receive in-class training followed by a two-day on-the-job practicum. In ensuring full Ministry of Labour and Ministry of Transportation compliance, all guards assigned to your job site have on their person, a valid Traffic Control Person Record of Training wallet card available for inspection on request while on the job.
